Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championship excitement begins the last week of June through the first week of July.
If you want tickets, you need to plan ahead. For the 2011 Championships, obtain an application form, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope between August 1 to December 15, 2010 to AELTC, PO Box 98, London SW 19 5AE. Applications received after December 15th will not be processed.
Grounds open at 10:30 a.m. daily and matches begin on Centre and No. 1 courts at 1:00 p.m.
Queueing for tickets: get in line early (7ish) for Ground Admission. Tickets are sold one per person and only cash is accepted. The buzz of this annual event is worth the wait.
Be sure to treat yourself to the traditional strawberries and cream!!
