Drivers had to work incredibly hard to handle the 20 turns in the 2.4 mile short course. The only complaint from the drivers was that it was difficult to pass since there were few straight-aways.

Attendance topped 69,000 for the three day event. There were an entourage of foreign visitors to enjoy both the race and Austin hospitality.

Will the V8 SUPERCAR race return next year? That’s the plan according to media interviews.  As the fan base for the V8 SUPERCAR race proliferates, we should see another Aussie Invasion next year. Let’s hope so.
