Talented Chileans bring their talent to the streets and parks for mere pocket change. Sitting in a traffic jam in Chile has its bright side. The light turns red and a juggler appears before a line of cars to show-off his/her skill. Before the light blinks to green, the entertainer will walk among the cars to accept any gratuity offered by the audience. Chileans are generous with their contributions. They appreciate the diversion from their stressful commute to and from the office.

One hot Sunday afternoon, I had arrived at bus stations following a short weekend trip, when I saw this older person dancing to ’70’s music in front of the station. The hot temperature did not deter him from gyrating to “I Shot the Sheriff” for the enjoyment and amazement of his audience.

In the parks, bands and performers gather to draw a crowd and thrill children and adults alike with their shtick.

Find a shady spot on a park bench or the corner of a street and watch the many talents of the people of Chile.
