Torre di Pietra Vineyards

Go where the locals go…Torre di Pietra Vineyards. The Maxwell family has been making wine for over 100 years. Ken Maxwell is especially proud of his Port and Black Spanish grape wines.

In August, I had the opportunity to watch the harvest of the Black Spanish grapes. If you’ve never seen this process, put it on your bucket list because it is truly one of the most amazing processes.

Messina Hof Hill Country Winery

Messina Hof is one of the most awarded wineries. Wine making has a long tradition in this family dating back to the 1800’s in Sicily.
