The National Elk Refuge

Established in 1912 the National Elk Refuge covers 25,000 acres in the Jackson Hole Valley.

The Miller House was built at the turn of the century. Robert E. Miller was the first supervisor of the Teton National Forest. In 1915 the Fish and Wildlife Service purchased the house and acreage to be the nucleus of the National Elk Refuge.
